Tennis Elbow Golfers Elbow
Tennis Elbow and Golfers Elbow causes elbow pain. Tennis elbow is also called lateral epicondylitis and Golfers elbow is called medial epicondylitis. This epicondylitis is caused from irritation and inflammation of the tendons of the forearm that join the elbow joint. Tennis and Golfers elbow develops from over use of the forearm muscles. This overuse on the tendons causes tears on the tendon attachments at the elbow. These tears then cause the elbow pain that patients have.
Any one can get tennis or golfers elbow. It is most often seen plumbers, electricians, mechanics, carpenters, butchers, avid tennis players or golfers, and masonry workers. The ages more commonly seen is between 30 through 50 yrs old.
If the tennis or golfers elbow is not addressed it can lead to very severe chronic pain and irreversible tendon damage.
