Then fingers and hands have many bones that often exposed to obtaining fractures. Once a hand or finger fracture occurs more than likely you have lost function of that hand. Now one has to rely on the other hand to perform ones daily and work activities. The signs & symptoms from a hand or finger fracture is deformity, swelling, bruising, loss of function, numbness, tingling, and hand /finger pain. Depending on the fracture it could be simple or complex.
Simple fracture can heal with out surgery. Splints and/or casts can be used to help heal simple fractures. The more complex fractures will require surgery were pins, screws, plates, and wires will need to be used.
