Dr. Pedro Loredo Hand Surgeon Dallas Fort Worth at Hand Associates of North Dallas

Pronator teres syndrome is compression of the median nerve.  Just like the carpal tunnel compress the nerve at the wrist.  The pronator tere syndrome is compressed in the forearm by muscle and ligaments.  The muscle is the pronator teres and its two parts.  It causes symptoms very similar as the carpal tunnel syndrome.

Symptoms:

  • Tingling to the hand and fingers
  • Numbness to the hand and fingers
  • Pain to the fingers, hand, forearm, arm, and shoulder
  • Weakness
  • Sleepless nights
  • tenderness to the forearm

Dr. Pedro Loredo will attempt non-operative treatments including rest, splinting, nsaids, steroid injections, therapy, and ice.  If this is not successful, then surgery will be performed to decompress the nerve.  Dr. Pedro Loredo at Hand Associates of North Dallas performs decompression of the nerve with minimally invasive endoscopic technique.
