Radial Tunnel Syndrome

Radial tunnel syndrome is caused by a nerve being pinched or compressed on the dorsal aspect of the forearm.  More specifically the posterior interosseous branch nerve at the elbow or forearm.  Which being pinched by muscles and ligaments.  Sometimes it can be associated with Tennis Elbow. 

Patients complain to Dr.Pedro Loredo that they have forearm pain, elbow pain, wrist / finger weakness, and pain with twisting motions

Dr. Pedro Loredo at Hand Associates of North Dallas, will try non-operative treatments which include rest, splinting, nsaids, steroid injections, therapy, and ice. If this is not successful or the symptoms are too severe, then surgery will be performed to decompress the nerve.
